Maureen Denise McCormick, youngest daughter and sole child from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills on 5 August 1956. The mother of the child was her home, and she was a aspiring stay-at-home-mom. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three older brothers. McCormick started singing and performing at an early stage. She also entertained youngsters in the community. The fame-making fairytale of McCormick began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6years old, which resulted in an inquiry from the an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency in which she was wanted to know if she was interested in to be in show business. McCormick received her first major breakthrough in 1964. She starred in the Mattel commercial for "Baby Pattaburp,"" the company's newest doll. The following year, she did another commercial for the company's "Chatty the Cathy" doll, and soon was part of the production The Wind It Up and It Breaks, in the Playhouse at Playhouse in La Jolla Playhouse. McCormick was portrayed as the youngest of three daughters with two heads in The Brady Bunch TV sitcom The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the star, and Robert Reed was the father. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick in her autobiography Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 stated that, in the fifth season, McCormick almost lost her love for her brother Barry Williams. She was just 16 years old old and the actor was 19, at that at the time. "It could have been a possibility," she said, "but the timing was never the right time to us."
